Natural resource manager with nearly twenty years of experience in working with government agencies, NGO, and local communities in design, execution and evaluation of complex projects linking the environment to development. Currently is undertaking teaching and research at the Universidad Rafael Landívar, where is also responsible for the progress and the M&E of the Integrated Environmental and Economic Accounting System of Guatemala Project. Among other things is co-editor of the Environmental Data Compendium of Guatemala and the Environmental Profile of Guatemala. In recent years he has been providing technical assistance in the areas of strategic environmental assessment and statistics and data systems to UNEP (i.e. GEO-5), PNUMA (GEO-Guatemala), World Bank (WAVES), and others.
