PhD Fellow, Copenhagen Business School

My PhD research is part of the Marie Curie network Innovation for Sustainability (I4S), and my partner organization is VELUX.

I study how sustainable building standards are constructed through the commensuration of qualities into specifications and how these standards manifest in demonstration projects. Part of this standards phenomenon is the quantification of people in highly technified homes and how the interconnected measurements shape both standards and our lives. I use institutional theory, systems thinking, and STS to span these research areas. My future research interests include living labs as measurement engines, well-being as an economic motivator for sustainable behaviour, and the role of technology in sustainability paradoxes.

Key research Interests: buildings, cities, standards, institutions, systems, energy efficiency, social sustainability
